Tokens for Climate Care at London Design Biennale 2021

The exhibition design for the London Design Biennale was about finding the most minimal and simplistic spatial intervention in order to best display the AI driven laser and the delicate graphics on the wall.

Some Place Studio designed two simple plinths to frame the technology involved rather than attempt to hide it. A laser was suspended from the ceiling, pointed at a circular platform designed to be wide enough for people not to get too close to the laser. A matching circular information stand holds the heavy duty PC needed to live-generate the icons drawn by the laser. The protective cylinder also acts as counter to distribute leaflets and any additional information on the exhibition.

Keeping the space in all white allowed to accentuate the subtle color changes of the laser.
