This proposal for an event space and community center in Neuhaus, a village of 400 people in Lower Austria, serves a dual purpose: it complements the existing Glassalon with essential amenities for events and functions as an independent venue. The historic Glassalon, built in 1913, now hosts gatherings like firefighters' balls, weddings, and anniversaries but previously lacked facilities for food preparation, restrooms, and other auxiliary services such as a coat check. The new addition, designed with arched forms that echo the Glassalon’s architecture, provides flexible catering options and can be used independently for smaller events or jointly for larger occasions, enhancing the versatility of the original structure.
